Join us again this year for our 2023 Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive on November 18, 2023, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. This year we will have the event at one of our big supporters, 500 Ocean Cafe, located at 510 E Ocean Avenue, Suite 107, Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
Every year HATT Foundation, Inc holds an Annual Turkey Drive to put a turkey on the Thanksgiving table of at-risk children, seniors, and needy families of Southeast Florida. In 2019, we distributed 10,000 turkeys and fixings to 10,000 needy and at-risk seniors and families, and 5,000 turkeys and fixings in 2018. Because of COVID-19 mandates and for everyone's health and safety we were not able to have it in 2020, 2,500 turkeys and fixings in 2021, and 1,000 turkeys and fixing in 2022. We want to come back strong this year but we can only do it with your help.
According to United Way of Palm Beach County, "more than 300,000 Palm Beach County residents don’t know where their next meal will come from a big increase from 2019 which was 210,000 Palm Beach County residents, and in South Florida, 240,190 children go to bed hungry every night. One in seven senior citizens in Palm Beach County, Florida are food insecure."
During the event, needy children and families will be given a turkey and a 5-gallon bucket of fixings (rice, cooking oil, beans, and fresh vegetables) per household.
During the holiday, it is an opportunity to cherish our loved ones and enjoy the countless blessings that have been bestowed upon us. For many, the recession and economic downturn have made this a hard-to-achieve goal. During the holidays, it is even harder. This is where we come in and where YOU can help!
